Delete a Fomo Account Safely (and Why It Won't Add Code DEAL)
Deleting a Fomo account is permanent, and it doesn't add, swap or reset a referral code such as DEAL. In the app, go to Settings, then Legal and Privacy, then Delete Account, and follow the prompts, but first withdraw your funds or export both private keys. Haven't signed up yet? Before you delete: four checks
- Move the money out. Withdraw what's left in your cash balance to a wallet, an exchange or a US bank account. Steps: how to withdraw.
- Or export both private keys. Fomo gives each account two wallets, one for Solana and one for EVM networks. Export both keys from Settings, not just one.
- Look for hidden small holdings. Holdings under $2 are hidden by default. "Show hidden" in the app, or "Show dust" on the web app, brings them into view.
- Wait for any cashback that's due. DEAL cashback is paid as USDC into the Fomo account in the app. Deleting removes that account, so if a payout is coming, let it arrive first.
Anyone who holds a private key controls that wallet. Keep exported keys offline, and never share them, including with anyone who says they're from support.
How to delete, step by step
These steps are for the Fomo app.
- Open the Profile tab and tap the gear icon at the top right. That's Settings.
- Choose Legal and Privacy.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Follow the prompts to confirm.
Fomo says the account and its data are removed, and the deletion can't be undone. Treat the confirm step as final.
What happens to the money
Your funds don't vanish when the account goes. The wallets are non-custodial, and the funds stay at the same wallet addresses on the blockchain. What Fomo doesn't promise is that you can get back to them through Fomo afterwards.
That's the whole reason for the checks above. Withdraw first, and the money is somewhere you control. Export both keys first, and you hold the way into those addresses yourself, with or without a Fomo account.
Sign out or delete?
If the goal is only to leave one device, signing out is enough. The two actions are very different.

If the worry is another device that's still logged in, Fomo has no "sign out of all devices" button. Change the password of your Apple ID or Google account instead.
Deleting doesn't change a referral code
If the reason for deleting is a missing referral code, deleting doesn't fix that, and this guide doesn't suggest it.
- A referral code attaches only while an account is created. There's no field to add one later.
- A referrer already recorded on an account can't be removed or changed.
- Fomo's help center doesn't say whether a deleted login can start a new account with a code.
- Fomo's terms forbid creating accounts to obtain referral benefits.
So the advice is short: don't delete an account to get a code, and don't open a second one for it. Choose the code before your first sign-up.
There is one route Fomo describes for a missing referral. If you signed up through someone's link and no referrer was recorded, go to Profile, Settings, Help and Support, Contact Support, and ask to be attached.

Questions
Can a deleted Fomo account be restored?
No. Fomo says deletion is permanent and can't be undone. The funds stay at the same wallet addresses on chain, which is why exporting both private keys first matters.
What happens to tokens left in the wallet?
They stay at the same addresses on the blockchain. Fomo doesn't promise you can reach them through Fomo after deleting, so withdraw or export both private keys before you start.
Will deleting the account allow a new sign-up with DEAL?
Don't count on it, and don't try it. Fomo's help center doesn't say whether a deleted login can start a new account with a code, and Fomo's terms forbid making accounts to obtain referral benefits.
Is logging out the same as deleting?
No. Logout, at the bottom of Settings, ends the session on that one device. The wallet, funds and positions stay exactly as they were.
How do you sign out of every device at once?
Fomo has no button for that. Change the password of the Apple ID or Google account you log in with.
